Open & Close Your Truck

Control whether customers can see and order from your truck.

Opening Your Truck

When you're ready to serve:

1. Tap the Status toggle at the top of the screen
2. Select Open
3. Your truck is now visible to customers

Or from settings:

1. Go to Settings > Truck Status
2. Toggle Open to ON

Closing Your Truck

When you're done for the day:

1. First, stop accepting orders (recommended)
2. Complete any remaining orders
3. Tap the Status toggle
4. Select Closed

What Happens When Open

When your truck is open:

• You appear on the customer map and feed
• Customers can view your menu
• Orders can come in (if accepting orders)
• Your location is shown to customers

What Happens When Closed

When your truck is closed:

• You don't appear in customer searches
• Customers can't place orders
• Your profile page shows "Closed"
• You can still manage orders and settings

Scheduled Hours

You can set expected hours:

1. Go to Settings > Truck Profile > Operating Hours
2. Set hours for each day
3. These display to customers as "typically open" times

Hours Are Informational

Set hours don't automatically open/close your truck. You control the actual status.

Quick Open/Close

For fastest access:

• The status toggle is always visible at the top of the app
• One tap to switch between open and closed

Opening Checklist

Before opening each day:

• [ ] Update your location
• [ ] Review menu availability
• [ ] Check printer connection
• [ ] Enable notifications
• [ ] Open the truck

Closing Checklist

Before closing:

• [ ] Stop accepting new orders
• [ ] Complete all pending orders
• [ ] Close the truck
• [ ] Review the day's sales (optional)
