Update Location¶
Keep your location accurate so customers can find you.
Why Location Matters¶
- Customers search for nearby trucks
- They need directions to reach you
- Wrong locations lead to frustrated customers
Updating Your Location¶
Auto-Detect¶
- Go to Settings > Location
- Tap Use Current Location
- Allow location access if prompted
- Confirm the location is correct
- Tap Save
Manual Entry¶
- Go to Settings > Location
- Tap Enter Address
- Type the address or intersection
- Select from suggestions
- Adjust pin if needed
- Tap Save
Map Selection¶
- Go to Settings > Location
- Tap Select on Map
- Drag the map to your location
- Tap to place the pin
- Tap Save
Location Accuracy¶
For best results:
- Update location each time you move
- Verify the pin is on the correct side of the street
- Add helpful notes (e.g., "In the parking lot by entrance")
Location Notes¶
Add details to help customers find you:
- Go to Settings > Location
- Tap Location Notes
- Enter helpful details:
- "Back corner of the parking lot"
- "Near the fountain"
- "Look for the blue awning"
When to Update¶
Update your location when:
- You arrive at a new spot
- You move during service
- Customers report difficulty finding you
Location Permission¶
The app needs location permission to auto-detect:
- Go to iPad Settings > EetEet Vendor
- Tap Location
- Select While Using the App
Saved Locations¶
If you frequent the same spots:
- Update to a location
- Tap Save as Favorite
- Give it a name
- Next time, select from your favorites
This is handy for regular spots like weekly markets or daily locations.
Troubleshooting¶
Location not accurate?
- Make sure GPS has a clear view of the sky
- Wait a moment for GPS to settle
- Try manual entry instead
Can't update location?
- Check internet connection
- Verify location permission is granted
- Try restarting the app
