Accept Orders Toggle

Control whether new orders can come in, separate from your open/closed status.

The Accept Orders Toggle

This toggle lets you:

  • Stay visible to customers (open)
  • But temporarily stop receiving new orders

When to Use

Pause New Orders

Turn off order acceptance when:

  • Kitchen is backed up
  • Running low on supplies
  • Taking a break
  • Preparing to close

Resume Orders

Turn order acceptance back on when:

  • You've caught up
  • You're ready for more orders
  • Break is over

What Customers See

When you're open but not accepting orders:

  • They can still see your truck
  • They can view your menu
  • The order button shows "Not accepting orders"
  • They can't complete a purchase

Automatic Pause

You can set automatic pause rules:

  1. Go to Settings > Order Settings
  2. Enable Auto-pause Orders
  3. Set conditions:
    • After X orders in queue
    • During certain hours
    • When a specific item runs out

Close of Business

Recommended closing routine:

  1. Turn off Accept Orders
  2. Complete orders in your queue
  3. When queue is empty, set truck to Closed

This prevents new orders while you finish up.

Notifications

When you turn off order acceptance:

  • No notification goes to customers
  • They simply can't place orders
  • Existing orders continue normally

Tips

Use It Often

Don't hesitate to pause orders. It's better than accepting orders you can't fulfill quickly.
