Square Issues

Troubleshoot Square payment and sync problems.

Connection Status

Check your Square connection:

1. Go to Settings > Square Connection
2. Status should show "Connected"

"Reconnect Required"

If Square needs reconnection:

1. Tap Reconnect
2. Log in to your Square account
3. Authorize EetEet again
4. Connection should restore

Why Does This Happen?

Square tokens expire periodically for security. This is normal and just requires re-authorization.

Payment Processing Errors

"Payment Failed"

If a customer's payment fails:

• The order won't be created
• Customer sees an error
• They should try again or use different payment

You don't need to do anything—failed payments never create orders.

"Processing Error"

If you see processing errors in the app:

1. Check your internet connection
2. Verify Square is connected
3. Try processing again

Menu Sync Issues

Items Not Syncing

1. Go to Menu > Sync with Square
2. Tap Sync Now
3. Wait for sync to complete
4. Check if items appear

Price Mismatches

If prices differ between Square and EetEet:

1. Check which system has the correct price
2. Update in the source system
3. Sync to update the other

Square Account Issues

Can't Log In to Square

1. Verify your Square credentials
2. Try logging into Square Dashboard directly
3. Reset Square password if needed
4. Then reconnect in EetEet

Wrong Location

If the wrong Square location is connected:

1. Go to Settings > Square Connection
2. Tap Change Location
3. Select the correct location
4. Resync your menu

Refund Issues

Refund Not Processing

1. Check internet connection
2. Verify Square is connected
3. Try the refund again
4. Check Square Dashboard for status

Refund Shows Error

• Some refunds may take time to process
• Check Square Dashboard for details
• Contact Square support for payment-specific issues
