Square Issues¶
Troubleshoot Square payment and sync problems.
Connection Status¶
Check your Square connection:
- Go to Settings > Square Connection
- Status should show "Connected"
"Reconnect Required"¶
If Square needs reconnection:
- Tap Reconnect
- Log in to your Square account
- Authorize EetEet again
- Connection should restore
Why Does This Happen?¶
Square tokens expire periodically for security. This is normal and just requires re-authorization.
Payment Processing Errors¶
"Payment Failed"¶
If a customer's payment fails:
- The order won't be created
- Customer sees an error
- They should try again or use different payment
You don't need to do anything—failed payments never create orders.
"Processing Error"¶
If you see processing errors in the app:
- Check your internet connection
- Verify Square is connected
- Try processing again
Menu Sync Issues¶
Items Not Syncing¶
- Go to Menu > Sync with Square
- Tap Sync Now
- Wait for sync to complete
- Check if items appear
Price Mismatches¶
If prices differ between Square and EetEet:
- Check which system has the correct price
- Update in the source system
- Sync to update the other
Square Account Issues¶
Can't Log In to Square¶
- Verify your Square credentials
- Try logging into Square Dashboard directly
- Reset Square password if needed
- Then reconnect in EetEet
Wrong Location¶
If the wrong Square location is connected:
- Go to Settings > Square Connection
- Tap Change Location
- Select the correct location
- Resync your menu
Refund Issues¶
Refund Not Processing¶
- Check internet connection
- Verify Square is connected
- Try the refund again
- Check Square Dashboard for status
Refund Shows Error¶
- Some refunds may take time to process
- Check Square Dashboard for details
- Contact Square support for payment-specific issues
