Auto-Print

Automatically print order tickets when new orders arrive.

Why Auto-Print?

  • Hands-free operation - Tickets print without touching the iPad
  • Immediate visibility - Staff see orders right away
  • Reduced errors - Orders don't get missed
  • Faster workflow - No manual printing needed

Enable Auto-Print

  1. Go to Settings > Printer
  2. Toggle Auto-Print ON
  3. Select what to auto-print

Auto-Print Options

What to Print

  • Kitchen tickets - Print when order is received
  • Customer receipts - Print when order is ready
  • Both - Print kitchen ticket on receive, receipt on ready

When to Print

  • On order received - Print immediately when order comes in
  • On order accepted - Print when you accept the order
  • On order ready - Print when marked ready for pickup

For most food trucks:

  1. Enable Auto-Print
  2. Print Kitchen tickets on Order received
  3. Print Customer receipts on Order ready

This way:

  • Kitchen gets tickets immediately
  • Customer gets receipt at pickup

Multiple Copies

Set how many copies to print:

  1. Go to Settings > Printer > Auto-Print Settings
  2. Set Kitchen ticket copies (1-3)
  3. Set Customer receipt copies (1-2)

Multiple kitchen copies help if you have multiple prep stations.

Sound with Print

Enable a sound alert when auto-printing:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications
  2. Enable Print Alert Sound
  3. New orders trigger both print AND sound

Temporary Disable

Need to pause auto-print temporarily?

  1. Quick toggle in Settings > Printer
  2. Or use the printer icon on the dashboard
  3. Manual printing still works

Auto-Print Not Working?

Check:

  • Printer is connected (green status)
  • Auto-print is enabled
  • Paper is loaded
  • App has notification permissions
