Square Sync

Keep your EetEet menu in sync with your Square catalog.

How Sync Works

When connected to Square:

  • Import your Square catalog to EetEet
  • Changes can sync between systems
  • Prices and items stay consistent

Initial Import

Import from Square

  1. Make sure Square is connected
  2. Go to Menu > Import from Square
  3. Select items to import
  4. Review the import
  5. Tap Import Selected

What Gets Imported

  • Item names and descriptions
  • Prices
  • Categories
  • Modifiers and variations
  • Images (if available in Square)

Sync Settings

Configure how sync works:

  1. Go to Settings > Square Sync
  2. Choose your sync preference:

Sync Options

Option Description
Manual Only You control when to sync
Import from Square Square is the source of truth
Export to Square EetEet changes push to Square
Two-Way Sync Changes sync both directions

Manual Sync

To sync on demand:

  1. Go to Menu
  2. Tap Sync with Square
  3. Review changes
  4. Confirm the sync

Resolving Conflicts

If an item was changed in both systems:

  • You'll be asked which version to keep
  • Review both versions
  • Select the one you want

What Doesn't Sync

Some data only exists in EetEet:

  • Availability status
  • EetEet-specific item settings
  • Order history

Sync Status

Check sync status:

  • Synced - Everything matches
  • Pending - Changes waiting to sync
  • Error - Sync problem (tap to see details)

Troubleshooting Sync

Items not appearing after import?

  • Check if items are active in Square
  • Make sure items are assigned to your location
  • Try a manual sync

Changes not syncing?

  • Check your internet connection
  • Verify Square connection is active
  • Try reconnecting Square
