When to Mark Items Unavailable

Mark items unavailable when:

  • Equipment for that item is down
  • You're too busy to make certain items
  • The item is seasonal and not currently offered

Making Items Available Again

Same process as marking unavailable:

  1. Find the item
  2. Toggle availability back on
  3. Item reappears for customers

Real-Time Updates

Availability changes are instant:

  • Customers immediately see the change
  • Items in customers' carts show as unavailable
  • No orders come in for unavailable items

During Service

Update Immediately

When you run out of something, mark it unavailable right away. This prevents orders you can't fulfill.

Check Before Opening

Review your menu before opening each day. Mark anything you can't make.

Automatic Availability Reset

Some trucks reset availability daily:

  1. Go to Settings > Menu Settings
  2. Enable Reset Availability Daily
  3. All items become available at a set time each day

This is useful if you start fresh each day.

Inventory Tracking

If you track inventory quantities:

  1. Enable inventory in item settings
  2. Set stock count
  3. Items auto-mark unavailable when stock reaches zero

This is optional and works best for trucks with consistent inventory.
